On Sunday, February 25, registered Dems from West Whiteland, East Whiteland and Charlestown met at a neighborhood pizza parlor to decide who gets to be on the ballot. This is how democracy is done!
Over three hours we had 100+ Democrats visit us at our annual Pizza Petition Party at John’s Pizza in Frazer. John’s deserves a round of applause as they never charge us for the space! We did enjoy nine cheesy pizzas and many pitchers of soda (which we did pay for, happily!)
Zone leader Marsha Peltz (East Whiteland/Charlestown) and Zone leader Matt Morley (West Whiteland) greeted candidates and neighbors. Red, white and blue balloons plus meet ‘n greets of State Committee candidates and PA House candidates made the afternoon an upbeat one. One visitor just turned 18 and got to sign his first petition!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and signed their name to the dozen or more candidates’ petitions. We will have a full slate of qualified Democratic options come Primary Day on Tuesday, May 15.
Join us at our monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month — March 5, April 2 and May 7 — to learn about the 2018 Midterms and how you can help.
Have you circled Tuesday, May 15 on your calendar to get to the polls and vote? If you would like to volunteer for a two shift at one of our neighborhood precincts on election day, please notify Marsha Peltz at firstname.lastname@example.org or tell her at the next meeting! Together, we can do this!
